To conclude our news for September – Smith Group Commercial Director John Banks, his Significant Other and two friends – known collectively as the ‘Rock ‘n’ Rollers’ – successfully completed the BLACK course 15K Rock Solid Race.
The challenge pushed the ‘Rollers’ beyond physical endurance which involved overcoming numerous VERY difficult obstacles and a river of mud over a distance of 15k.
The challenge was not undertaken for improving ‘personal best’ but to raise money for a local family dedicated to raising funds for ‘madaboutharry.’
Harry Banks is 7 years old and attends Eversholt Lower School in Beds. In 2014 he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma. Harry has already had a lot of gruelling treatment and needs to have further medical care overseas (in the USA or Europe), where more specific medical trials are available, and will be of benefit to Harry.
